- Single choice, multiple choice, true or false, short answer and open answer. Each can show a read-only code snippet.
- Short answers
- Compared with each accepted answer after trimming and collapsing spaces, with case sensitivity when you want it.
- Anti-cheating
- Questions and answer options shuffled per student, copy and paste blocked, and tab switches recorded.
- Results for students
- You choose whether students see their score and the correct answers. Correct answers appear only once the test closes.
- AI allowance
- AI drafting and grading use a monthly allowance included in your plan. Student answers are not used to train models.
- Sharing
- Share a quiz with teachers of your school, duplicate it, or copy one of Echelio’s own quizzes and make it yours.

What teachers ask about quizzes and AI.
- Can AI grade open answers?
- Yes, when the teacher asks. AI marks each open answer correct or wrong and gives a reason that only teachers see. Teachers can change any grade, and every change is recorded as theirs.
- Do quiz results change a student’s Progress levels?
- No. Quiz answers are easy to guess or copy, so Progress levels come from code tests only. Quiz results stay in the test’s results and its CSV export.
- Can students practise with a quiz?
- Yes. A teacher can open a quiz for practice. Students then take it on their own, see the answer and its explanation after each question, and try again as often as they like. Echelio also publishes practice quizzes of its own.
- In which languages can AI draft a quiz?
- English and French. The questions are yours to edit before you give the quiz.
- Can I project a quiz’s leaderboard?
- Yes. Every test, quizzes included, has a class display for the projector: the join code, the time left and a live leaderboard that ends on a podium.
- Are student answers used to train AI models?
- No. Answers go to the AI only when a teacher asks for AI grading, and they are not used to train models.
