Questions from students.
What students ask before their first class.
- Is Echelio free for students?
- Yes, always. Students never pay. Anyone can sign up and practise for free, and a teacher or a school pays for the classes and tests.
- Do I need a teacher or a school to use Echelio?
- No. You can sign up and practise the code challenges and Echelio’s quizzes on your own, for free. Tests come from a teacher: when one adds you to a class, everything you practised stays on your profile.
- What can my teacher see from my practice?
- Which problems you solved and when, including before you joined their class. Never your code, your failed attempts or a grade.
- Does practice count toward my grades?
- No. Practice is never graded and never changes your Progress levels. Only the tests your teacher gives count.
- Which programming languages can I practise?
- JavaScript, Java, Python, PHP and SQL today, with more languages on the way.
- Can I practise quizzes too?
- Yes. Quizzes your teachers open for practice and Echelio’s own quizzes, with the answer and its explanation after each question, as many tries as you like.
